The Essence of America

a rainbow across the land from New York/New England to the Pacific. Native Americans breathed the land - warm, warm, warm.
very young children looking up and noticing, listening, maybe seeing the rainbow across the country - hopeful
flying across the land, first from above as through an eagle's eyes, and then down in the earth like both Superman and a shaman,
blazing love everywhere, lighting up the dark spots
another time I felt as tho' I was walking on the earth all over America the beautiful, with images flashing of American people looking deeply into my eyes, smiling families, children - I wish I could sing this story!!
as I travel the land, there's a lightness, joyfulness, playfulness,
followed by a heaviness, distractedness, and then a lightness emerged again, as tho' there's a rhythm of light & dark, or love & fear, that we're dancing. as I move sometimes I feel afraid, sometimes I feel brave. Part of me doesn't want to admit to the afraid part, but I think that's part of the bravery so I say it anyway. I need to own and name the broken parts, not just pretend that everything's great. Several of us keep seeing the infinity sign in different forms, and for me that's another image for weaving the light & the dark as we journey the land.
As we connect to the deeper essence of America, a sense that the "wisdom" movement is vast and ancient with all the resources it needs to create anything. Together, we can. Our listening simply makes it more present.
There's a new dawn of love in the land.
