Embracing the Democratic & Republican Conventions
Leslie's journal reflections from a WiseUSA deep listening circle on August 22, 2008. Please add your reflections & intentions from the circle or from your own hearts.
as we imagine the thousands of people travelling and preparing for the Republican and Democratic conventions over the next couple weeks, we see that
we are to honor the conventions as the modern form of tribal gatherings of those charting a path for our country.
the conventions are sacred rituals.
we see two circles, one in Denver, one in Minneapolis/St Paul, focal points of the whole country. we start to see these circles being surrounded by loving images/energy of many many people like us, like angels, like children, like ancestors, like dolphins and trees, like divine beings: beings of many species and many ages. These supporters are "holding the backs" of those at the conventions, loving their spirits & their hearts & grounding their feet solidly on earth. We send protection to the political candidates both for their physical safety and for the safety of being able to be themselves. We start to see the circles coming alive, flaming like a campfire, and to imagine an infinity symbol dancing around both circles, connecting them in spirit.
Our friends of Vessels of Peace offer this prayer and intention:
We, the women of Vessels of Peace, stand witness to and hold sacred space for those at the Republican and Democratic Conventions
that they be clear vessels, open and shining;
that they hear the voice of their own Highest Good and know that It is the voice of All Beings' Highest Good;
that they allow The Highest Good to flow forth through them;
that they have the courage, the strength, and the will to make manifest the deeds being asked of them by and for The Highest Good of All Beings.
And so It is."
Embrace them all.
Look beneath the surface.
Insistent drumbeat: this is real, this is real, this is real.

It was my great honor and pleasure to be present on the 8/22/08 WiseUSA deep listening circle. The energy of the deep listening generated my own reflections which were posted at the Vessels of Peace bulletin board on 8/24/08 .....
