Hi John, I'm really sad to hear that your situation is quite difficult..and hard! and, of course, this is not philosophical or theoretical talk, it has been long since I left that kind of talk aside; I'm totally sincere and authentic in all I say and live. Maybe you could better your health by getting in touch with Alternative Med, and also, taking distance from negative people. I have to do both because the man in power and his followers are pure negativity; their speech is full of resentment and hatred, but of course they say that it's the other half of the country that has hate in their hearts!! The only way to maintain sanity is by not listening to a speech in which hypocrecy, lies and cinicism form its basic components, it really makes people sick ! On the other hand, I use my mind and heart to keep myself healthy, because if I get sick I counld'n pay doctors nor medicines! In addition to that, we are now imprisoned in our own country, as we are not allowed to have dollars to spend in travels or even Internet. I used to buy books ifrom Amazon, but even that is now forbidden. So as I first said, It is not easy. We have to support each other by sending love and positive energy. Please try to take distance from negativity and talk to people that might help you to keep yourself healthy. Today, that's essential for survival. with Love,
I hope you understand my poor English, try not to use much slang because, you know, I'm Spanish speaking!!!

This is difficult John! It's not easy to keep optimism up. We, the peoples of this world and in each Nation have to find the Middle Way. Governments have the duty to supervise and control private entreprises, but it is each one's responsability to take a stand, to change our world view, to contribute in any way possible in accordance to our capacities and situation in life. It is not possible for any Administration to make real changes if people doesn't change their own view of life. It's not easy and one can feel frustrated many many times, but we have to keep on doing our best. Your country is one of the greatest, as is your responsability! You have to preserve Democracy and Freedom for the good of many. We are living tought times there are lots of maniacs around and ignorance is huge.

Thanks John, Yes, I do hear a lot from you, because I watch CNN, Blumberg and read a lot, but I prefer to hear from the people iliving the situations. News are news and all you get is some sort of edulcorate interpretations of facts. I ask because I want to know how you feel it there. I don't think Obama will do much, but I do believe the crisis will act as a catalyst for peoples'change, or at least I hope it will, as I hope it will help us here, when we finally get over this crazy man. Maybe our economy will end in shreds, but we are seeing the surge of a young bright and brave generation capable of risking even their life to recover our freedom. Crisis might mean renewal or transformation!

Thanks John for your concern. What we are living here is simply awful. This man is completely out of control and definitely an egomaniac narcisist. He has definitely decided to go communist, destroying our economy and all private business and property. We don't have separation of powers after the political takeover of the Supreme Court by Chavez in 20004. The General Assembly members are all followers of the government party due to the opposition boycott of the elections, considered a fraud. Their only function is to approve without discussion whatever law the president orders them to pass, and he has decided to pass all the laws he considers necessary to avoid that the elected members of the oposition to mayors and governors may take possesion of the position for which they were elected, also is using the Judges to build causes against the political leaders. The freedom of expression has been undermined through a variety of measures aimed at reshaping media control and content He closed the biggest private TV with the greater scope and is now menacing the only one left. The only good thing is that the situation is so bad that and so many groups are actively protesting that anything might happen. The worst is the hate that this man has sown.
How about you? How are things going there!

You are so right about our 'nutjob'!!! He'll try to reform our Constitution to stay "in the chair" -as we call it- for life! That's one of the thing we are risking, then there is the incredible corruption and buying of consciences, the destruction of our economy and especially of our middle class, his insistence in deciding over our private lives, and so many many things!!! He hated Bush so much because he's just like him... on the other side of the pendulum! Unfortunately for him and for us, he's full of envy, but also believes himself to be god all powerful....
But, we will overcome!!! you can be sure of that. People can be deceived for a while but sooner or later they will open their eyes.
And....yes I'm 68, maybe it's the way I see life!
Love and Light

Thanks so much John, I knew I could count on you!! Honest elections, that's what we want!... and Wisdom to make the right choices, because many are still quite blind. Ten years ago they believed in this man -I never did- but today, with the huge amount of petrodollars the country has received, poverty, health, housing and education and the new debt! are worst than ever.
Unfortunately the elections are only for State Governors, Mayors and Council staff. 2010 we will have elections for Congress -General Assembly-, and only in December 2011 can we change President!!! We have to be patient, but if we can obtain a good amount of votes and win a good number of States , maybe, and only maybe, 'the man in charge' -that's how we call him- will be more careful in carrying on his crazy ideas: order the Congress or Assembly to rule for his continuous re-election, destroy the small enough private economy left, send to prison every person that disents of his ideas, etc. etc. What we need is that our People would be able to see reality and stop being afraid so that we can build a strong opposition capable of standing up to our present abusive and lawless situation.
Thank you again, just focus your intention in that our People will be able to see and take the right decisions.
As I remember John Kennedy's anniversary is Nov 22nd....isn't it?
Love and Peace

Dear John, today, from Venezuela, I'm asking you to unite with us with your Attention and Intention so that next November 23rd -election day- the Light of Wisdom will descend over the Venezuelan People, so that we can take the right decisions, that day and ever after. This elections are vital for us as Freedom and Democracy are at risk in our country.
All that our world needs is Love, Understanding, Peace, Harmony, Unity, Truth, Wisdom.....and that transformation is the only purpose of my life.
Love and Peace my dear friend,
Helena

Hi John, Thank you for that piece of info you gave me. It is sad to confirm how many unconsciouss people we have in power! Power shows the degree of unconsciousness and, therefore, ignorance of a person. Each new negative fact or deed I know of I take into my heart to give love and light, hoping that step by step we can erase all negative energy by the Light of Love.
Love,
Helena
